A human can KNOW that its traveling at a higher speed, but unless theres a reference point, it wouldnt matter. For example, the avverage speed of a plane is 600 mph, very fast, but unless you see another plane passing opisite of you in the air, your brain is telling you that your moving at 0 mph, thats why you can get up and walk around and like on the ground. When your landing though, the speed will come to a stop at a high rate, making it much more noticable than if it coasted to a stop.
